The
Renaissance Music
School
was established in
September 2003 in Bedfordshire by the Goldman Family. The music school fills
a gap in the musical educational needs of the area. It provides high quality
one to one music tuition by qualified and experienced specialised teachers.
The school readily accepts students of all ages. Those who request it, are
thoroughly prepared for examinations and our own accompanist is available.
Rehearsals are mostly carried out at lessons, allowing the teacher to
supervise. These rehearsals during the lessons are done at no extra cost,
though payment is required for the accompanist at the actual examination. We
also undertake to prepare students for GCSE, A level and University Entrance
Examinations. The school has an excellent record, with all students thus far
having passed with excellent grades. We regularly organise student concerts
allowing our pupils to meet and share their music. These are always
accompanied by refreshments. |

Rosanne Goldman, school director
and woodwind clinician, has been teaching music for over
thirty years. She remains passionate and enthusiastic about music education. She
specialises in Clarinet, Saxophone, Voice, Recorder and Music Therapy. Her
career began in South Africa, the place of her birth. There she gained her ATCL,
B.Mus(Hons) degree and the Higher Diploma in Education (Post-Graduate), which
also allowed her to work as a music therapist, at the University of the
Witwatersrand. She played in orchestras and performed solo repertoire in South
Africa as well as teaching Music, English and Drama at schools. In Israel she
taught at various music schools, including the Rubin Conservatorium of Music in
Haifa. She also had a large private studio. In addition, Rosanne was the first
person to practise Music Therapy in Israel. Upon immigration to Australia, she
continued performing, teaching music and consulting as a music therapist, both
at schools and privately. There she gained a Diploma in Music Therapy and was
accepted as a member of the Australian Music Education Board. Since arriving in
the United Kingdom in 2001, Rosanne has taught music at a comprehensive high
school and is now the founder and director of the Renaissance Music School.
Rosanne has composed songs for children and has written musical educational
performance material. Her extensive experience has allowed her to help many
woodwind players on various aspects of their technique. She is a specialist
on embouchure correction. |
